Als Folge der Apartheid in Namibia gibt es eine tiefe Spaltung in der Gesellschaft.
Im kollektiven Gedächtnis der weißen Bevölkerung ist verankert, das sie durch Überfälle bedrocht sind,daher werden Eigenheime mit hohen Zäunen und Stacheldraht abgeschottet.
Die Fotoreihe entstand 2019 im Rahmen des Ausstellungs-projekts `It`s raining cats and dogs` in der Nationalgalerie Namibia / Windhoek. Im diskursiven Austausch wurden von den beteiligten namibischen und deutschen Künstleri*nnen die Themen Kolonialismus und Apartheid verhandelt.

As a consequence of apartheid in Namibia, there is a deep division in society.

The collective memory of the white population is deeply ingrained in the perception that they are threatened by attacks, which is why homes are surrounded by high fences and barbed wire.

This photo series was created in 2019 as part of the exhibition project "It's raining cats and dogs" at the National Gallery of Namibia in Windhoek. The participating Namibian and German artists engaged in a discursive exchange, exploring the themes of colonialism and apartheid.
